PEARL DISTRICT, LET’S GET CLEAN!
NWCC Is Making It Happen — Curb-to-Curb Street Cleaning Is Coming!
Pearl District, this is what happens when we speak up, stay persistent, and work together!
For the past few years, NWCC has been working directly with PBOT’s street cleaning leadership to push for a deeper clean of our neighborhood. Despite ongoing budget challenges, we’ve kept the conversation going, advocated for the Pearl, and worked to get this on the schedule.
And now, it’s happening! PBOT is planning a curb-to-curb street cleaning of the Pearl District before its seasonal leaf-cleaning services begin in other districts.
That means cleaner curbs, cleaner streets, and a better-looking neighborhood for everyone. This is exactly the kind of progress NWCC works to deliver for our members and the Pearl District!

How You Can Help
We’ve worked hard to get this cleaning scheduled. Now let’s make the most of it!
Move your vehicles so crews can clean curb to curb.
Property managers: If possible, blow, sweep, and power wash sidewalks ahead of time, moving debris into the street for collection.
Spread the word to your tenants, employees, neighbors, and fellow businesses so the crews can reach as much of the area as possible.
A few important details:
No-parking barricades will be in place from 7:30–10:30 AM.
Parking restrictions will not be enforced during this window but please move your car and ask guests, customers, or employees to move their vehicles so we can clean curb to curb!
Barricades will be placed on Monday, October 26.
Two teams will start at opposite ends of the area and work toward the center.
If any sections remain unfinished, PBOT will coordinate with its night crew to complete the work.
A Big Thank-You to PBOT!
Crow Abatement Program
Also remember, our Crow Abatement Program is going to run this year and we are looking for donations from the community to make that happen again. More details to come very soon, but if you have questions, would like to donate, or need more information, please contact me directly at chase@nwccpdx.org.
